GUNKY SHOWER

Gunky Shower a poem by SOPHOCLES

A familiar urge grips me and I it.

A flash of thoughts and Bone.

Eyes glossed over staring at gunk covered hands.

Gut wrenched, Short of breath, and 80LBs heavier than I remember.

Time, Gunk, and Hair congregate at the drain, a quick hello. An even faster goodbye.

The Click of a Locked screen reveals a dark reflection.

A face. Hardly mine, stares back dim eyed and Fat.

Empty promises, Empty Nugs and Empty eyes reside

 at my

Gunky Shower.
