Heat death of the universe

“The heat death of the universe is a hypothesis on the ultimate fate of the universe, which suggests the universe will evolve to a state of no thermodynamic free energy and will, therefore, be unable to sustain processes that increase entropy. Heat death does not imply any particular absolute temperature; it only requires that temperature differences or other processes may no longer be exploited to perform work. In the language of physics, this is when the universe reaches thermodynamic equilibrium. The Heat Death theory has become the leading theory in the modern age with the fewest unpredictable factors. If the topology of the universe is open or flat, or if dark energy is a positive cosmological constant, the universe will continue expanding forever, and a heat death is expected to occur, with the universe cooling to approach equilibrium at a very low temperature after a very long time period.”

For years now I’ve been absolutely lost as to what to do with my life. This disorder has made an already difficult question that much harder to answer. My Psychologist and others believe that with my mental state being what it is, that the question “What do I do with my life?” shouldn’t even be on my radar, and I agree. The question persists on a regular basis. Over the last few months, I’ve entertained but only to a certain extent to avoid a breakdown. Wealth, Material, Status, and other common motivations that typically guide others to the answer, those things don’t interest me. To say my future is uncertain is oversimplifying it. Since what most commonly motivates people to the answer doesn’t resonate with me, I’ve arrived that the only thing that truly matters is to propel humanity forward. There’s a lot of details that lead to that conclusion but I won’t bore you with the details. I’ve been repeatedly told by my Psychologist and others that I’m highly intelligent. I do not believe this to be the case, why people repeatedly arrive at this misconception I’m not sure. However, I believe that highly intelligent people have a responsibility to use that gift. If you’re gifted whatever that gift maybeI believe you have a responsibility to enhance that gift to its full potential and use it. If I am highly intelligent then I must do something with it. There are innumerable amount of problems facing humanity but I believe that the most concerning is Universal Heat Death, although this is 100 trillion years into the future, and more than likely humanity will die to some other great filter, I currently perceive Heat Death to be the biggest hurdle humanity will face. Giving humanity the benefit of the doubt and let’s say we last past the death of our sun, there will be an increasing escalation of the greatness of the filters. I can’t do anything about “Heat Death” but perhaps and frankly I highly doubt I could provide any type of help regarding the nearer great filters. However, I feel a sense of duty to at least make an effort, Given people’s perception that I’m highly intelligent. I hope I’m as fucking stupid as they come so that this obligation goes away. I’m studying Mathematical Physics and a variety of other sciences, please believe me when I say that I honest to Zeus hope I’m a self-deluded imbecile.
