“HECADEMUS” By Wulfgar

In the halls of Mount Olympus,
Where the gods and goddesses dwell,
There is a heavy sadness,
That no one can dispel.

Hades, the lord of the underworld,
Is mourning his beloved Persephone,
Whose time in the mortal world has ended,
And now she must return to him, you see.

Apollo, the god of music and light,
Is grieving for his son, Hyacinth,
Whose beauty was unmatched,
But whose life was tragically cut short in an instant.

And Artemis, the goddess of the hunt,
Is mourning the loss of her dear friend,
Orion, the great hunter,
Whose death was brought about by her own hand.

Even the mighty Zeus, king of the gods,
Feels a deep sorrow in his heart,
For the loss of his son, Sarpedon,
Who died heroically on the battlefield, torn apart.

So even in the halls of the immortals,
There is a sadness that cannot be ignored,
For even the gods themselves,
Are not immune to heartache and loss, deplored.
